Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building

Mt. Lebanon, PA

Services: General Contractor

Owner: Municipality of Mt. Lebanon

Architect: Rothschild Doyno Architects

Value: $2 Million

Historical restoration of a three-story, 80-year-old Art Deco building that houses township offices as well as a 911 Regional Dispatch Center.

A gateway to the business district in Mt. Lebanon, the facility’s new design features a pedestrian-friendly storefront that compliments adjacent businesses.

The building team removed segments of a previous renovation that took place during the 1970s. This included restoring the full ceiling height and unsealing a number of windows to increase natural light and ventilation.

A terrazzo floor, along with original aluminum light fixtures, were restored in the lobby and Tax Offices.

Even while Nello performed heavy demolition, the 911 Center stayed in operation 24/7.

The entire building was made accessible through the addition of an elevator, ramps, and fire stairs.

Energy efficient MEP systems were added to update the building and reduce energy consumption.
